Gather up at least four other people from your company and form a team, and we’ll give you two weeks with a laptop, digital camcorder, training, and all the support you need so you can create an amazing short movie. You’ll have the chance to win huge prizes and see your movie on the big screen!

Yep, we’ll let you borrow some of the latest technology that makes it incredibly simple to create a movie. In about half an hour, we’ll show you all the basics of editing, and we’ll be around to help throughout the process.

We’re Ideas United, the creators of Campus MovieFest. We’ve partnered with Delta Air Lines and Apple to enable over 20,000 students around the world to create short movies during our events, and we believe everyone has a story to tell… including employees around Atlanta. We’re thrilled to give you this chance to tell your stories on the big screen.

Corporate MovieFest promotes teamwork, creativity, and spirit throughout your company. And, most importantly, you’d get bragging rights as the inaugural champion of Corporate MovieFest!

All submitted movies will be judged by a panel of independent judges, who will try their best to pick the top movies. The panel will be comprised of marketing and HR executives, partners, and area filmmakers.

Your movies will be judged on a variety of criteria, both technical and thematic, but again, the point is to have fun. When making your movie keep in mind the all of the judging criteria, including adherence to the theme, creativity, coherence, and visual look.

But above all things, focus on the emotional factor. A movie that is impactful – whether it’s funny, powerful, or reminiscent of another emotion – to watch will always leave a lasting impression on the judges and help determine the results. Anyone can tell a great story, so don’t worry if you’ve never made a movie before.

If you come pick up your equipment, attend training, and drop off your movie at one of our scheduled sessions, then the entry fee is only $25 per team. If you’d like a member of the Corporate MovieFest team to visit your workplace, drop off the equipment, and provide training, then the entry fee is $100 per team.

Movie-making will run in late July and early August, with the finale in the middle of August. Stay tuned for the final details!

It’s all up to your creativity! It can be funny, serious, etc. Stay tuned for categories, such as “how do you move Atlanta?” Just make sure it’s less than five minutes long!
